Bienvenue! I’m Salma.

I’m a Core French teacher in Ontario, a mom of three, and the educator behind Mme I’s Resources. This space brings together my classroom experience, my love of creating, and the ideas that continue to shape my teaching.

Over the years, systems and routines have become central to my practice. I care about what happens beyond the lesson plan: how students get started, how they find support, and how they become more independent. Thoughtful routines create space for meaningful learning—and help students feel more confident participating in French.

I learned French as an additional language myself. That experience shapes the way I teach and reminds me that students need different entry points, clear guidance, and opportunities to experience success.

Here, I share classroom reflections, teaching ideas, and resources for Core French teachers in Grades 4–12. Everything grows from the same purpose: addressing real classroom challenges and making French learning more accessible, purposeful, and engaging.
